Waterfalls, flowers and lots of scenery to see in Kauai. And, of course, the chickens.

Dolphins can be seen all around the island of Kauai. Spinner dolphins are the most common, however, bottlenose dolphins will also pop up now and again. We also spotted several sea turtles.

Kauai is a beautiful and unique island. Here are some pictures of its most difficult to reach and unusual area -- Na Pali coast.

Got our hiking shoes!

Keith & I went to the Sports Authority and got river-friendly hiking shoes for our trip. They are sooo comfy. Of course, this now means that we are committed to doing actual hiking when we get to Kauai.

Our goal will be to hike part of the Kalalau trail which will bring us to Hanakapi`ai beach (2 miles in) then hike an additional 2 miles up Hanakapi`ai Valley to the falls.

The beach will be for walking in at the edge as it is quite dangerous most of the year. Swimming will be once we get to the waterfall.
